If you apply chemicals to your skin every day. Then your natural protective film/surface will thank you... Not. It's not really necessary.

Sounds terrible, applying chemicals to the skin daily. Using a soap without chemicals and preservatives can solve that. Or just water.
I think it depends. I work and get legitimately dirty. I wash off, and sometimes need to scrub hard. It's better to do that than to leave all the crud on my skin.
But I've also been more choosey about the soap I use, and I think that alone is going to be better for your skin.
Definitely. After a day of work in the rice field or in the barn I take the iron brush and some detergent 😅. Other days just washing down the dust with water is enough. But I take at least one shower every day.
But most people fill themselves up with "care products" every day. Marketing controls the thoughts.
