I got into “crypto” in 2022. I bought solana ethereum cardano Luna phantom. I can’t even remember all of the other shitcoins. I lost a a lot of money looking back. The smallest position I had was Bitcoin because it had the largest market cap which meant it would give back the smallest return, or at least that’s what I thought. Like everyone else, I felt I missed the boat on Bitcoin. I found this shitcoiner on YouTube that was doing daily streams posting TA bullshit and other shitcoin stuff. He talked about bitcoin too but it was mostly shitcoins. I wanted to make money so I was looking for anything on YouTube that seemed legit. He looks professional and the streams were high quality. He even had the CEO of Celsius on regularly. All his videos had a long list of shitcoin exchange referral links in the description. I’m pretty sure he still streams regularly on YouTube, his channel is called invest answers. The whole shitcoin industry pretends to be full of smart people talking about shit that you just can’t understand.

One day, he got Robert Breedlove to join the show. I never heard of Breedlove before but he interviewed him and Breedlove said he was bitcoin only. He respectfully explained that bitcoin was perfect and that he didn’t need anything else. They only talked about bitcoin price predictions and shit like that. Seemed weird to me that he was only invested in bitcoin but I was intrigued. I started listening to his podcast and came across Jimmy Song and Cory Klipsten who were not hesitant to call the shitcoins a scam. I appreciated them for being so blunt and straightforward. Now I’m going deep down the rabbit hole. I come across Saifedean and Michael Saylor. Then I listen to Vitalik on the Lex Fridman podcast talk about how Bitcoin is bad for the environment. I sold my ethereum and then eventually sold all the shitcoins as well. I went bitcoin only. I pulled my bitcoin off the exchanges and into cold storage. A month later Luna implodes and all the exchanges go under. I had all of my savings staked in stable coins and would’ve lost everything if Breedlove didn’t join this scammer’s stream.

In hindsight, the video is so obviously predatory. But I had no idea it was a scam and I can’t imagine how many people are hurt by this type of content.
