i dont like the follow or dont follow binary nature of most clients. there are many people who i want to be connected to, but dont want to see everything they say, or all of their reposts. more refined tools than ‘follow or mute’ would be good

im a radio button guy, not an algo guy. for muh principals.
but suspending that for the moment,
it’s considerably less scattered. its more contextual. i feel like im viewing conversations of people im familiar with, more that viewing a generic timeline.

i dont mind algorithms, which is a catchphrase anyway, i choose increasing transparency and control of the ones which affect my portals to the world. some people dont. i do. but you understood all that. 👍
