I think for a lot of the boomer yuppies it’s about comfort and familiarity.
They desperately want an Obama type to come along and tell them everything is gonna be ok, and they’re willing to settle.
Also the social pressure is worse for them in certain ways.
the social pressure is worse for them because they subconsciously feel guilty about how good they had it, they also grew up with gov that worked more credibly, their T is down AND they don't understand the current world or the future
Thay grew up with a government staffed by a marginally more competent generation of bureaucrats who didn’t have to worry about cameras wired to the internet in everyone’s pocket
