In Iceland, you see it growing in the geysers, gases, cracks, and volcanoes. Solids, liquids and gases are being ejected 24/7, and that's what's going on at the ocean ridges. More and more and more mass ejected. This crack was at right angles to the mid-Atlantic ridge:
