I saw it no different than twitter, in a sense of "I don't like Twitter, so I'll make Twitter-A" then someone on Twitter-A will be like "I don't like Twitter-A, so I'll make Twitter-B" where the extra nice thing about making a Twitter-A and -B etc is that they can talk with each other, however, all the cons are there when compared to Twitter from the perspective of freedom.

I take your point about X but having not been a Titter/X user in the first place it didn't really bother me. When I joined in 2019 was like this, mostly programmers etc. It was only in 2022 did it get invaded with ex X users.
