Should I start a TERF bicycling club? It could be international and people could create local chapters. It doesn't have to be TERF-only, or even women-only; I'd happily include everyone, even trannies. What I don't want is the bullshit walking-on-eggshells experience I have in my local bike club.

For example, this morning I went on a club ride and did chit-chat and mentioned I’m going to the ICONS of sport conference in Denver, because I want men out of women’s sports, and the guy adjacent to me said, “you mean transwomen??” and I said, “they’re men” and he said, “well I have no opinion, except it sounds an awful lot like when they kept black players out of the National Baseball League.”

Here's a blog post I wrote last year which should give an idea of my local bike club's social environment: https://blog.ninapaley.com/2022/03/21/cycling-and-gender-intersect-in-meaningful-ways/

I cycle for fitness and personal transport, and love it.

Also because I don't shave, I felt hugely validated by this: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2016/aug/15/team-gb-cycling-saddle-sore-medals
