Waze did me dirty too many times so I switched to Apple Maps.

Yeah it reroutes every minute which is bad in my case cause the riders freaking out 😁

I use Waze, but it's retarded. It puts me on backroads to save time, but it always backfires. On another note, pun intended, a #nostr based mapping system would be badass, bc I could tip people bitcoin in real time for telling me about road hazards, cops, etc, whilst traveling.

I'd love that, I'd even love to work on that, but I'm not sure maps (as distinct from business data and reviews) can be done in a non-centralized way

Not routing and tilesets I would guess. But yeah, I think a funded company could build a map product with leaflet or whatnot and add business data on top. Let's go!

Google maps is much better because it gives you the possibility to download your offline maps in case there is no internet in the locations you arrive at.
