All hail the return of localism and empiricism! Perhaps in the future when the internet tells people that the sky is failing, or that whatever “current thing” so “so bad you guys, and it’s happening everywhere!” - they’ll go outside and confirm for themselves.

Wasn’t it interesting how people acted like society had collapsed everywhere due to Covid, except of course wherever they happened to be at the present moment.

Isn’t it interesting that immigrants are running amok, destroying America everywhere, except of course, wherever the person complaining about this is.

The internet asks us to psychologically prioritize distant, far flung bullshit over the what we able to sense empirically in our local, daily lives.

I still fear that we humans are the most insecure, unpredictable part of any system and we’re about to put that to the ultimate test.

Porn, amirite?
