I think that's debated, what about based on Bitcoin? we need to completely change the way we do things to make a ubi work. Like I said the ubi is for housing, food and transport once they are paid for a job money can be used for more luxury things, which are taxed appropriately can be a good way for people to not have to struggle for the essentials.

I think that resembles communism, house, food and transport is 75% of the average person and for the majority is the real goal in life. A fair UBI would reflect how much you contributed with your existence to the overall economy and that can only be your life. It is normal for a 18 y.o person to get a XX UBI while a 36 y.o person to get a 2x XX amount as the contributions are different. Also, the taxation should reflect the amount of consumption from the natural resources of each individual. For instance, a 18yo guy might be taxed way less than a 36 y.o guy who lives a luxurious life...

Either way, the totality of our time on Earth is finite and "inflation" comes only if the population is growing thus more production and consumption.

I think the idea of a ubi is a bit more communism than capitalism but I truly think if we have the right automation tax and a good gst we can afford it, and the benefits will be very positive in things like mental health. the thing is though the general idea of money needs to change slightly in favour of more consumption of things like leasiure activities with the extra disposable money. but getting rid of homelessness and poverty are a huge plus to ubi which basically can't be eradicated unless there is some kind of ubi. it probably makes sense when the btc is more adopted and to give people that currency which has very low inflation built into it. and a general move to leasiure spending with surplus money.

it has been proven that more social security equals more poverty. The homeless people don't need an UBI, they need a sane society that produces less and less homeless people. Learn a man to fish...

learn a man to fish indeed, but the fisherman needs a fishing rod too that's ubi, giving the fisherman all he needs to fish in profit. it's a mute point though because at this stage people can't agree on a decent democratic economy and a ubi integration.
