Well I’m a bad singer so my karaoke strategy would be to either do a duet that’s got an easy part with a friend who’s a better singer. Or pick an easy drinking song and wait until the crowd is sufficiently inebriated to be unable to stop themselves from joining in. Garth Brooks “Friends in Low Places” works well.
I think that's my strategy, too. I get someone with me on stage 😂

I’m a terrible lead singer but can do lovely harmonies. So that’s another strategy.
