AMP has been around for some time... it gave me some ideas about how to do redundant multipath so it could increase resilience against failed payments

AMP and keysend are two forms of payment that have not had much love because of idk what reason, superstition about nodes sharing their pubkeys when they have to anyway to be public routing nodes between other nodes

we are very early with LN IMO, and there is this fud about how it can't scale to allow everyone to run their own payment clearinghouse but that's absurd IMO... we can have thousands of competitors for visa, mastercard, discover, and every national interbank payment service, and with ecash, you can solve the last mile problem with one or two of those thousands of LN nodes near you

I knew the two have been around, but actually having it ran on a self hosted node was my issue for quite some time. I agree with you that everyone could run their own node but we need more tutorials on node running, as the average Joe probably just want to it work without too much complexity.
