If you have a chance, you really should watch The Billion Dollar Code, a four-part miniseries on Netflix based on the true story of a group of scrappy coders and artists in post-reunification Germany who created the original algorithm they claim was copied to create Google Earth. It’s full of ideas about breaking borders and freeing humanity that will especially resonate with bitcoiners. 🌍

Also Halt and Catch Fire is amazing.

Yes! I can’t get enough of these incredible early-days hacker stories. That’s true gen-X nostalgia.

Added to my Nostr TV shows list βœ…

Where is this list, and can you share it?

It’s currently on my iPhone notes πŸ’œ

If somebody could make like the most simple website ever for me, just including two columns (TV shows and Movies) with checkboxes, I’d absolutely share that to everybody.

There could potentially even be like a suggestion box πŸ€”

Right now there’s only True Detective and The Billion Dollar Code on the list ❀️

#[3] just gave you one more. 😁

Can you post a long form on Habla and then just keep editing it?

Or maybe the Pablo's wiki can be tortured into such use case as well.

Oh neat. Is it about Keyhole? I remember when Google bought them.

No, this is the story of Terravision.

Never heard of that. I'll check this out. Thanks.

Agree, watched and enjoyed this a while ago and continue to recommend.

But it's also impossible to say on what terms this deal was negotiated, and Telekom then got the US market and is now one of the biggest there too.

It's a really good Netflix story, but people also like to twist facts or change things.

I am still very critical.
