A reminder to those of us who code things that talk over the internet:

The average internet speed globally is still not that fast. I know I tend to forget sitting here with multi-gigabit fiber around.

I’d have to change my entire lifestyle if 85mbps was all I had available. 🤣

It’s amazing how quickly I forget how far things have come and how spoiled I am.

Basically, but tbf, there are vast swaths of America that still has basically 0 access to the internet, much less broadband, unless they can shell out for StarLink.
