Why are users I muted in my goddamn feed?

Happens too often when bouncing around between clients. I don't have a solution to offer.
OK that makes sense bc ditto just hiccupped on me and I went to Primal on desktop which I never had a problem with (except still can't zap) and then back to nostrudel. Took me a lot of back and forth just to post my last note jeez Louise

I didn't have these problems until I got Alby. Kinda wish I hadn't, because now my wallet connect is also fukt. But all the other browser signers have been a nightmare too.
the extension just has your keys. it’s the clients like primal.net nostrudel, etc. that have the logic and manage follow, profile, etc.
so it’s likely in one of those or the relays something is up.
Yeah, it's sort of traumatic. Usually caused by having different relays in different clients, and some of them not having the newest version of your mute list. Every time you mute someone, you make a new list.
I had to switch to relay muting.

usually for every client you use to visit nostr each has its own handful of relays to serve your feed. if you don't setup those manually, —either by cient's options; or by browser extension; or by nip05 relay list—, then most sure you'll still be seeing people muted over relays that don't know that you have them muted. if i get it right either the event of 'mutification' had to be replicated (broadcasted) to the rest of relays you use, or use just a bunch of relays you trust on which you have those people muted, blockid and reportid. 🤙
