are their ANY good programming books?

or do they all fall to one side of ‘dry regurgitation mired in unnecessary detail’ or ‘light fluffy ADD with exclamation points after each sentence’?

is this a function of programming becoming primarily commercial? I view it as an art. As a form of expression combined with a way to build. Anyone, anywhere, see a book or blog written like this?

I wonder if I have to go back in time to find it?
