🚨United Kingdom 🇬🇧: Reverend Richard Fothergill, a customer of the Yorkshire Building Society bank for 17 years, had his account closed days after writing to the bank to complain about his public messages during Pride month.
“I wrote to them on their feedback portal making two points: one was 'this is a really good use of your time, you're not here to social engineer' and [second] I said I have serious ethical issues with the transgender element , and the implications of imparting this to young children.”
In a letter he received last week, he said he was told his relationship with YBS had "irrevocably broken" and that the company takes a "zero-tolerance approach to discrimination".
"They didn't apologize - they said 'your comments will not be accepted'" declared the reverend.
