By greeting and welcoming new Nostr users via #introductions or #grownostr, we build our own welcome algo.

TikTok “rewards” new users with an incredible algorithmic push for their first post to show them the power of the app.

This happens organically here as well. I think it’s increasingly important to welcome new users to help them feel and experience Nostr like we all already do.

Visit the hashtags and greet and zap some new users every now and then 🤙

Not always the right way as some get too scared of too many welcoming and leave soon after.

Yes that might be true for some but I’d argue that for the vast majority it’s still better than posting into the void for the first weeks on nostr.
