Always use 2FA (two-factor authentication) whenever possible, but avoid using the SMS method – not only will you be leaking your phone number, but you'll also be vulnerable to SIM swaps, these types of scams are extremely common and easy to perform by attackers. Use the TOTP (time-based one-time password) method instead.
