If blackrock decides to setup 1 million btc nodes, what happens to the network, how can we stop them taking control?

They don’t need a million… there are far far fewer nodes out there

Number of nodes is irrelevant for control. It's actual (not fake) economic activity on the nodes that determines outcomes of forks.

Or were you thinking of Sybil attacks?

yes, if Blackrock adds 1 million nodes that follow bitcoin's rules, so what?

They can fork their 1 billion nodes to run whatever software they want, and we will keep running bitcoin. It will be bitcoin cash 2.0.
