Yeah it’s such bullshit. I’ve been in Hong Kong for 25 years and this year has been one of the quietest for typhoons that I can remember. There was a Number 10 in ‘99 that blew out windows from skyscrapers and there’s only been another one or two that strong since. They’re saying stuff like “the typhoons are coming closer to land or going further inland than before” but part of the reason YAGI was so strong is because it was over the sea for longer
It’s like they need one more memorable storm in the media to point to as evidence
