a home gym doesn't need to be complcated anyway, pretty much, the spongy floor, a set of weights, maybe a bench. most important are the body weight resistance. oh yes and a pull up bar. probably under $500 for the whole kit. having someone to call the reps can be good for body weight resistance also, so it's great to have a group to boost motivation
