Moving beyond straight line training matters. But adding rotation alone does not fix dysfunction.

A lot of people jump into multi planar work or try to mimic Functional Patterns movements without correcting their structure first. On the surface it can look like progress, but mechanically it often reinforces deeper issues.

If the body already has torsional imbalances, where ligaments and tendons are chronically overstretched on one side, adding rotation only makes the problem worse. Those compromised tissues get pulled even longer and the system becomes more unstable.

Multi planar movement is only beneficial when the body is structurally prepared for it. Structure has to come before movement.
