what i love about Fediverse is the enormous resolution used for avatars, icons, emoticons etc ...

it must be horrendously inefficient but as a 8K resolution maxxing enthusiast it's something i appreciate ...

it's also what i hate about Coracle - it compresses all the images for faster loading, but there is a noticeable difference as crispness is lost ...

high resolution images are like anything else that is high class. low resolution images are like anything else that is low class - disgusting !
