It is not thyme, but very similar. It's called "Segurelha ,"
Thyme in Portuguese is tomilho
I went in search and the name in English is savour !
I have cooked with it before but have yet to grow it
I also thought it was thyme but my aunt said ....no no no it's savour.
It has a very similar smell and taste but with a spicy note.
