My feeling is that Eth attracted many opportunists and old world investors who see Eth as a clever tool to do financial manipulations similar to fiat investments. Most of them don’t care about real useful innovations. For example, web3 is supposed to be decentralized and give data rights back to users. But many web3 companies still implement their system centralized and just throw these fancy words around.
