the private posts? I think ideally we would see other peoples’ private posts in the feed along with all other posts (public or private)

It wouldn’t even need to be labelled “private”. Could just have a little icon to indicate “friends only” like fb has etc

They can, but only people that have the key can decrypt it.

Just like they could with regular DMs, yes.

Most apps would handle that stuff behind the scenes though.
