realizing these things about the prevailing culture has alienated me from my coworkers because the way i see things is so *different* that when we have conversations they either don’t understand what I’m saying or laugh at things that I say in all seriousness because the assumptions we each come into the conversation with are just too different. Thank god I found nostr or else I would have felt alone in the world. Hopefully one day, if I reach my goals and am happy, god willing, it will spark something in them to question their assumptions
