Not sure, maybe to reduce water evaporation or something. I’m down in Texas so we are already hitting 80-90. Overnight of 70 or so.
Yeah maybe. I just looked it up trying to find why it closes leaves. I didn't find anything, but found this is my type of tree. Weedy pioneer tree that can be used for fodder, food, and biomass.
