The world’s oldest surviving McDonald’s, the third ever built, opened in Downey, California in 1953. The 60-foot golden arch sign features Chef Speedee, McDonald’s original mascot. There’s a cool little museum adjacent to the restaurant displaying all sorts of old McDonald’s memorabilia.
