Love Poirot and most of Agatha Christie’s books.
There are a couple new-ish Poirot movies out (murder on the orient express, and death on the Nile) - neither amazing but both fun and definitely worth watching.
The British Poirot tv show is pure comfort food - plot, characters, aesthetics, filmography… art and hedonism 🥂
I’ve watched murder on the orient express, it’s decent. I really liked the knives out movies though, they capture the same feeling well.
Knives out was a lot of fun. The second was good although a bit sillier. My childhood intro to Daniel Craig was in casino royale so I’ve always enjoyed him - and this was a fun twist on an otherwise serious badass…
Definitely similar vibe, just modernized.
Death on the Nile was good but there’s an older version that’s better. Same for Orient express - pretty heavy accents in that one though, so you have to pay attention
