It also challenges the narrative that public institutions have lost their ability to dream big and move fast despite recent history where many efforts to upgrade the nation's transportation systems faltered, NASA's latest mega-rocket launched in 2022 six years behind schedule, and China launching a hypersonic missile designed to evade traditional air defenses.
