Its not WoS fucking people.
It's apple removing the app from phones, because they can, and people are dumb and still support them for some reason....

No one said it’s WoS as the problem. But if in the US, safest is to move funds to avoid potential kyc implementation..
Would help a lot if nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq would communicate
I'd lack communication too if my tribe turned on me because of Apple's actions removing the app from phones, actually rugging people. Lol.
Seems none are worried about KYC. Folks are using KYC Strike as a "work around" to their fear of being rugged by the OG of nostr wallets.
🤣
Disagree. No one has turned on them. People are just rightfully disturbed suddenly seeing them delisted without warning or explanation.
And I’m not sure where you’ve been, but people have been aware for a long time that custodied wallets are not ideal, and that’s why many other wallets are working to create functional self-custody mobile solutions.
I have appreciated nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq as being almost *always on*, but have *never* been comfortable leaving any significant amount on there (or on any other custodial wallet for that matter)
I put morals over money.
Nostr would not be what it is today without WoS.
I will help them fight this war.
Not holding substantial amounts in custodial wallets is common sense for bitcoiners.
Although "substantial amount" varies by person.
Some could have $100 and think its a large amout of bitcoin. Some could have $3000 and and it's not substantial to them.
It's a fair point and I do agree nostr would not be what it is today without wos.
But I do believe there is a time and place for everything. Staying on wos at this time isn't doing wos any real favors but it is putting your sats (while not substantial) in real danger.
Not trying to fight you on this as I've been a big supporter of wos since the beginning. But I do think there's an element of live to fight another day here.
If you had morals you wouldn't be using and supporting cucked Bitcoin at all with all the options available.
This 👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽
WoS is clearly under regulatory attack at the moment. I'll opt to move my sats to safety while I still can. When the coast is clear, I'll assess the situation and decide if I want to move them back at that time.
Are KYC sats really any safer though?
Air gapped keys or the government prolly has a copy somewhere.
Marginally but not all kyc is created equal.
If wos is under active regulatory attack, it's likely at some point your funds are going to be locked until you kyc. You can be sure that data IS being looked at actively and traced.
On strike, there is no active regulatory campaign (for now) so you still have the opportunity to obfuscate.
I don't think it's a huge deal for zap sats to be kyc but I still see no reason to keep my sats in an active war zone when there's other similar options available
Are you suggesting the government has a copy of the seed someone rolled with dice…?
