I don't mind being muted by people who also follow me. Nostr still doesn't have the best tools to turn down the volume on profiles that post a lot, so muting is sometimes used as a workaround.

I wonder if "volume of poster" could be turned down by the person following.

I am a high volume poster.

Let's say nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 follows me but wants to "dial me back a notch", turn me down to 20% of my total posts, so his feed isn't cluttered with my ramblings.

Is such a thing possible?

On Damus there’s this setting for global. Maybe something similar is doable for the feed

Haha. This reminds me of a Nostrich that told me I posted too much and dominated his feed, so he was going to unfollow me. He was a good dude and DMed me to tell me about it. I'd like to think he sees my content in Global and smiles.
