That's cos you were turning a blind eye. And your discerment muscle is weak. And you were normally attqched. Don't know your story but maybe even trauma bonded. Who cares if someone claims to love you. Do they actually love you!? And even if they do, humans are flawed, life is a mystery and nothing is permanent.
