Cooling towers are also agnostic of the power source, the only emissions out of a cooling tower is water. Coal and gas use cooling towers, but cooling towers of this size, like the ones depicted, are most commonly on nuclear power plants. They get so hot they need a lot of cooling.

Nuclear has no CO2 emissions, so there ya go.
