This is something I never would have posted on Twitter for fear of being shadow banned or outright banned but since this is Nostr I am going to share my experience and thoughts on Trans individuals.

I grew up in a small town of maybe 1,000 people in the early 90s. There was this older dude who lived there, who has since died I assume, who used to wear ladies blouses, shoes and had a woman's hairstyle at the time. His name was Dallas.

Everyone knew Dallas, it was a small town and he was pretty hard to miss. 70 year old man walking around in pumps and a blouse. I'm sure there were those who felt uncomfortable around him and I know there were those who would snicker behind his back. I admit I made a few jokes at his expense, not proud of it but I did. Anyway, he was a good dude and was generally respected in the community and I always enjoyed talking with him. If there was someone new to town who asked what his deal was the general response was "oh that's just Dallas". Nobody really gave a shit. He was doing his thing, just like I did my thing and everyone else does their thing.

I cannot stress this enough, I couldn't care less what individuals do on their own time. It is none of my business and, quite frankly, I have enough quirks of my own to worry about someone else's.

My issue with the current debate is that there seems to be two camps, and only two camps: pro or anti. Not just on this issue but this one seems to be a hot topic.

I am not going camping on every issue. I have enough shit to worry about.
