But: I like snails. I had a pet snail named Slick. He lived in a big glass house and sometimes went outside; the ledge was his wild side. One day he was missing. He then was missing for multiple consecutive days. I placed a small bowl with beer in his house to lure him, which finally worked. One of the cats loved running around with him (not allowed!). Slick was cool.
