Fair point. I was asked why I believe Satoshi decided to remain anonymous. My instinctive reply’s was: to stay alive.
Discussion
Two reasons: 1. Personal safety & 2. Bitcoins safety.
There’s a saying “if you ever meet Jesus, kill him”. Same goes for Satoshi. If he emerges that’s the end of BTC IMO.
Truly altruistic which is why I can be convinced there’s some divine intervention. BTC seriously brought me closer to the idea of God and I’m not a religious nut. Not even close.
To me studying the entire Cypherpunk movement restored some faith in humanity. I wouldn’t have studied them if it were not for Satoshi and Bitcoin.
I had realized we are living in a post Edward Bernays world. What he understood about the human mind was preached to the wrong people. That’s where I got a bit closer to god…
Good vs Evil, I thought that shit was only in the movies. Nope. It exists. Pure absence of light. The capacity of reading emotions but only to control and subjugate.
But, I feel these forces moving, these forces of good, and I felt them strongest while I was close to Bitcoin and the general idea of décentralisation as a mean to fight corruption.
Every single problem in my life has a common cause, corruption. The darkness corrupting the light.
I could not have said this better. Thank you. I’ve said the same thing but not as well as you. Evil does exist. I’ve done very well career wise etc but BTC saved my life. Sounds dramatic but it’s made me a better man in almost every category. Brought me closer to my relationship to god via a better relationship with myself.
