Well this clay tablet is a far cry from the "seated king" tablet with the "tiny sun with 7 planets, inset" tablet that youtubez is so fond of... Is this a real tablet? Are there more of them?
Discussion
They made them often. Most writing from ancient Mesopotamia is on clay tablets. Damp clay was formed into a flat tablet. The writer used a stylus made from a stick or reed to impress the symbols in the clay, then left the tablet in the air to harden. This tablet is marked with symbols showing quantities of barley rations for workers.
More specifically, this tablet which is depicted with 3D relief planets, seems VERY detailed and quite different from the typical cuneiform tablet. Is this just a clickbait image to get us interested in the writing systems of the past or is it an actual LEGIT tablet that has been ignored/mothballed/suppressed?
It is difficult that check for very specific information, and I am in no way an expert.I just have a curiosity and password Ng intererest. If there is one thing that stands out as bogus or AI generated then I steer clear and don not to post it. There is some further information here or you could go further down the rabbit hole yourself. Have fun. thanks for the messages.

Thank you! I'm reading it now!
I went to a private school. We had typical "manifest destiny" history text books, but those same text books had entire paragraphs 🤣 dedicated to Sumerian culture... I always thought the pictures of the ziggarats were extremely interesting. They did with baked clay, what other cultures did in stone. What amazes me is that these "mud" structures still survive until today... This culture is an eon before the megalithic cultures. Truly amazing and also with fully developed writing and detailed daily business transactions preserved for so long... We have no idea of what has been lost... Thank you for sharing.
