The world must have been so much more interesting when nations had their own cultures.
Can you imagine, getting on a ship for a month and going on an adventure to a land that was nothing like yours…
Now you get to a place and see a mall.

Even airports were much more interesting 30 years so
True but even then that land may well have had a culture made up of centuries of invading cultures. But I know your point is that the world is becoming homogenous. The internet made that an inevitability.
You have to get away from the tourist zones and go where the locals go. There’s still history and diverse cultures and new food and drink out there. It’s just harder to find now.
Perhaps, but maybe fiat is also helping to stamp out diversity in all but name. One of the things I imagine about a hyperbitcoinized/web-of-trust world is that smaller circular econmies might thrive again and that cultures would be free to diverage from the overwhelming American fiat culture. Plus with AI any little culture might be able to make their own media to consume.
People like to be with like people.
Those are dying out though, eventually it will be entirely different from where I call home if I see a mall 😂
And a McDonald's. And everyone wears western clothing.
All politicians everywhere wear suits. Except for like the Saudis I guess.
