What if Heaven is burning and hell is peaceful? Either way they aren’t real I guess.
Discussion
I’ve done extensive research for years on this subject
What have you found?
This may be a lot of info:
Nothing is 100% provable, just have to look for where evidence leads. I believe the Bible is true because of the flawless archeological, scientific and historical evidence. But the messianic prophecies in the Bible is what is interesting. Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies, which mathematicians say chances of someone fulfilling just 3 would be 10 to the 17 power. (10 to the 13th power is considered impossible). So if the Bible is true as the evidence suggests, then the main message of the Bible would be true.
Although the Bible says a few things about heaven and hell, there are a lot of things we don’t know. What the Bible says is that hell is a place of torment (I believe self torment/regret for not having saving faith in Jesus), a place of separation from God (love), and a place of disappointment. Heaven is a place of joy, fulfillment and a new body free of pain. It’s also a place where God is. Actually the Bible says that when the curse is broken, heaven will be here on earth with Jerusalem being like the capital.
The question is: how to get to heaven and avoid hell, which I’ve studied a good bit also. Interesting stuff!
Sorry, I know that was a lot
I believe that some things may be true or close to what happened, but there are some things I don’t believe to have happened. Like Jesus was real but all the miracles and such he did I don’t believe.
Interesting take on it all I must say. For me personally I don’t believe in any gods.
I understand. What I found that was interesting was that even several non religious writers during Jesus’ time confirmed that Jesus lived and that He resurrected from the dead, which was Jesus’ greatest miracle.
Check out some of John Lennox’s videos. Very interesting.
Yes there may have been non-religious writers but it lacks historical evidence. The resurrection is considered a miracle in Christian Theology which is only in religious texts no other.
This is a good speech against god.
I’ll watch that. I’ve heard Alex O’Conner speak on a few podcasts before
I watched the video. Alex O’Conner is such an intelligent guy.
I wanted to send one more video. It has been my experience that a lot of people that I have talked to and watched choose agnosticism or atheism because of so called “Christians” who do horrific things, because they experienced a terrible tragedy, because of suffering, evil in the world, etc.
I totally understand. This video addresses those things
To me Christians are just the loudest with their religion pushing it on other people. They go door to door to convert or set up on a street corner and preach in public. They try to mix it with church and state. You don’t really ever see any other religion doing that.
Evil in this world is just from bad humans nothing to do with spirituality or a god or devil. At the end of the day believing in a god is all faith based and not facts. There is no evidence in my eyes that proves there are any gods of any culture.
I always got told “you just gotta have faith” and I don’t run on faith I want facts of things.
You can believe in whatever you like I just abhor when they push it on other people or try to make policies in politics because that’s what their “god” believes.
Yes, you’re right about the pushing religion on people. That’s not productive, nor helpful. I talk to people about Jesus and have a conversation, then love them just the same, no matter their beliefs.
We are all made in His image and deserve love and respect.
See you are one of the good ones who doesn’t push and are willing to have a conversation. I really appreciate it. We have our differences and that’s ok.
By the way, are you having a good day?
Yes I am enjoying a day off getting stuff done around the house. How about yourself?
Wow, a day off, that’s great. Hope you get a lot of stuff done. I’m just getting home now from teaching school.
Looking forward to a little rest today and Thanksgiving coming up.
