Isn't censorship a side effect of slavery?

There's a difference between putting a gun to someone's head and saying "do this" and not letting them enter your house.

I'd call that the difference between force and power.

there is soft power as well, which is things like brainwashing and hypnosis and propaganda techniques used to deceive casually interested people

do you mean active manipulation? like, promoting limited hangouts and this kind of mischief?

it's like the expression "throw me a bone" - give the wolves enough meat and they calm down

it's not "hangout" like a place to gather, it's "let it hang out" as in confess
