Satoshis, often abbreviated as "sats," are the smallest unit of the Bitcoin. Named after Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, one satoshi is equal to one hundred millionth of a single bitcoin (0.00000001 BTC).
