Give praise where it's due.

The California governor just passed a bill banning 4 chemicals from food: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240AB418.

The governor points at Europe, where the same food manufacturers sell their products without these chemicals because they're banned.

The food industry continues to gaslight us: "Newsom’s approval of this bill will undermine consumer confidence and create confusion around food safety by acting independently of the FDA" and calls on the FDA to weigh in on the topic.

Guess what: they bought the FDA before and they will buy them again.

It's good he approved the bill, but I don't want people to misunderstand and think that meant he was the one that made this bill.

It's authored by some assembly members and presented starting in February. And then it passed the assembly and Senate floors with overwhelming votes and was presented to him on September 14.

Thanks for making that clear. I referred to him since he is the one who needs to take the last step but that’s true, it’s not a bill he championed
