Hi #privacy enthusiasts,

It seems like the EU is more and more undemocratically (no referendums EU, you are not representing the people's will...) clamping down on privacy with the ChatControl measure: https://www.patrick-breyer.de/en/posts/chat-control/

My question is what do you recommend as an alternative?

1. XMPP

2. Element/Matrix

3. Signal

4. Threema

5. Jami

6. Anything else?

I'm a bit out of the loop and was wondering what do you recommend?

Thanks!

#nostr #bitcoin #monero #privacy #eu #chatcontrol

using #nostr through #tor seems to be fairly ok for #privacy too

the easiest option by far is web client through tor browser,

#grapheneos and tor-native app surely too

maybe add #onion relays

maybe paid ones to keep spam at bay

and if paid then in #monero

We still really need a non-javascript nostr client with people hosting copies of it on .onion addresses

#nostrudel can be hosted on #oonion.

It is even included in #start9

It relies on javascript

Should not be a problem if self-hosted?

Not sure honestly, don't know enough

Or use #whonix wherever
