Does a post on Highlighter cross-post to other clients?
I guess the technical question is - if I understand correctly - are the same "kind" of notes that this is, also created on Highlighter and published to the Highlighter relays?
It also seems that those relays cannot be edited/changed. Is this right?

yes, you can create any relay set you want; just create a new list on highlighter.com/my and add the relays you want
that will create a relay set list that will also be cross compatible with any client that chooses to support it 😉
and yes, highlighter creates Highlight events (kind 9802) which are compatible with quite a few clients and comments
highlighter doesn't have servers; everything you do on highlighter is stored on relays in standardized ways that other clients support
(except for the stuff that I created in highlighter that are still not supported by other clients, like private long forms)

I'm not entirely sure how to "find" content to begin highlighting. O
r maybe I'm going about this the wrong way..?
Or, to begin highlighting, do I input an external (non-nostr) address or piece of content, and then the highlights function as new nostr events? (Re: your reference to fiatjaf's article, a minute ago)
yeah, you can input a URL or a nostr-specific event; I wanted to highlight some stuff on fiatjaf's post so I just entered his URL
yeah, discovery right now within highlighter kinda sucks; I need to do a further push on that
right now you would bring the content you are interested in saving/highlighting/reasoning about into highlighter
but I have a lot of stuff coming that should help with this

I'll poke around some more. Are there content sources that you recommend? I'm assuming anything behind a paywall wouldn't work...
anything behind a paywall wouldn't; but if you install the chrome extension, if you access the paywall you'll be able to highlight from it 😉
Which chrome extension are you referring to? Is there one for Highlighter 🤯
