I can see some obvious exceptions, like when that idea is "let's support people who starve children to death" and it keeps being repeated even while many children starve to death as a result
Shouldn’t die as long as it's only an idea that doesn't cause demonstrable or direct harm to a person or entity… controversy or extremism isn't punishable
But everyone expresses ideas that cause demonstrable or direct harm nowadays
The difference is not all of us support walling children in and starving them to death
Publicly expressing support for an "unjust" cause without inciting violence and without direct and demonstrable harm isn't a justification for being murdered... those who think like this with their absolute truth, stay away from me
It's like you keep trying to change the subject or something
To be clear, Charlie Kirk materially supported walling children in and starving them to death, and continued for an extended period during which many children did die of starvation
I know who that guy now with his death, quote me the phrase you are referring to and I will specifically give you my opinion based on reason
Idk what phrasing he used, I only know he was a Trump supporter and campaigned for him last year during the ongoing genocide
I can't give you my reasoned opinion on something I don't know, I don't know what Kirk said about that subject either... everything remains the in the same principle

Fair enough, honestly
The problem with this is that this creates shifting goal posts. I am not saying there are never situations where this may be justified (although i think this depends mostly on your culture), it starts with actual starving children, then it becomes people expressing that will, until we are at the point that even the thought is dangerous and should end with death.
You can also shift this in a different spectrum. Now it's children, then it becomes living things and slowly this can drift to a point where smashing a mosquito results in absurd punishments. It doesn't happen fast or overnight or possibly even within a decade or century, but once the precedence has been set that it is ok to kill other people for whatever reason this will become normalized and therefore easier the next time.
Punishing people for wanting to starve children slows this down, rather than accelerating it.
The people who want to starve children are the one who drive society towards shit like that with their bloodthirst.
People like me aren't the retards advocating for the "death penalty" or anything, we just recognize how killing Nazis in a civil war isn't bad.
Also, I use "starving children" here as shorthand for "walling in children and starving them" which is actually very specific and very different from anything any other group of humans have ever done
