I just witnessed two people “fishing” at the pier.

One was sitting at the top of the stair stepped pier with his string and bait. I watched him lower it into the water by hand and snatch it up a few times… no fish all though there are tons of little fish of various kids right where he’s at. The water is so clear you can see them.

I walked further down the pier to tie. And leave when I noticed another person down on the bottom step at the opposite end of the pier. Here you can touch the water. They had a simple plastic bag) like you’d get from a grocery store) that they stuck in the water and pulled up then sat it on the pier and began to sort through their catch.
