How would you compare the new Proton wallet with Strike? Proton highlights that Bitcoin can be sent to an email address but doesn't Strike already do that too?

Proton is self custody and doesnt (yet) have lightning. I never heard of strike sending to email.

In Strike if you send sats to fractalchris@strike.me I will receive the sats. That's my Strike account, I guess it's not actually an email address but it looks like one and it's just as easy.

That strike address is interoperable with various custody and self-hosted ln nodes. The proton one will only work with other proton folks and seemingly will be on chain so payments wont fail.
